M. Isabel García Real

PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid. She obtained her degree in 1993 and her PhD in 2000. She joined the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid in 1993, where she has worked as a professor of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging since then.

Head of the Diagnostic Imaging Service of the Hospital Clínico Veterinario Complutense from 2005 to the present and head of the Magnetic Resonance Unit of the hospital since its inauguration in December 2008. He focuses his teaching and research work in radiology, abdominal ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging of small animals.

She has spent time at the Universities of California (Davis, USA) and Cambridge (UK), as well as at the Animal Medical Center in New York and the Animal Health Trust (Newmarket, UK).

She is the author of several national and international publications, and has participated as a speaker in several national and international courses and congresses.

She is the main author and academic responsible for the online Course on Radiological Interpretation in Small Animals (CIR) that she has been teaching annually in collaboration with the Official College of Veterinarians of Madrid since 2016.
