Q Fever. An emerging disease

The aim of this book is to provide the practitioner with the most recent and best evidence information about the infection with Coxiella burnetii (Cb), causative agent of Q fever, in ruminants. After a brief introduction to highlight the important aspects of the bacteriology of Cb, the epidemiology and the pathogenesis is described to strengthen the key points regarding the improvement of control strategies. Then, the clinical course of the disease is described and the impact of Cb on reproduction disorders is detailed.
