Vanessa Carballés Pérez

Vanessa Carballés earned her degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Zaragoza in 2003. She immediately started her professional career at the Gattos specialist centre for cats and became a veterinary partner at the clinic in 2008. To date, Vanessa has obtained a General Practitioner Certificate in Feline Practice from the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS) (2011), a diploma in continuing education in ophthalmology (2009), and a diploma in small animal cytology from the Complutense University of Madrid (2015).

She is a member of SEOVET (the Spanish Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology), the AVEPA (the Spanish Small Animal Veterinary Association) Working Group of Specialists in Feline Medicine (GEMFE), AMVAC (the Madrid Small Animal Veterinary Association), and the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). Vanessa has spoken at various conferences, published several articles in scientific journals, and coauthored the book Enfermedades infecciosas felinas (Infectious Diseases in Cats) published by Servet in 2010.

Alberto Barneto Carmona

Alberto Barneto received his degree in veterinary medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid in 1989. He started his career the same year at the Ginzo de Limia veterinary clinic (Madrid), where he formed part of a team comprising four veterinary surgeons. Practically in parallel, Alberto began collaborating on surgical projects with several clinics throughout Madrid. He is currently a coowner of the Ayavet veterinary clinic (Boadilla del Monte, Madrid).

He also served on the board of directors for the Madrid Small Animal Veterinary Association (AMVAC) for 4 years. Alberto has published various articles in technical journals, lectured at conferences, and completed professional collaborations with a series of veterinary clinics.
